Corporate Leadership and Team Building

Programs

"If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry, in any market, against any competition, at any time." From The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni

We offer half-day, full day and custom team building workshops. Each workshop combines a fun rowing experience and using the Rower’s Code to challenge your team and explore how you work together. Participants experience what it takes to pull together as a team and leave with individual action plans.

Program Types

Half-Day Program Our half-day workshop is a great morale event. Participants learn the role of each seat in the boat, assign seats for their boat as a team and carry their sixty-foot long shell to the water where our experienced coaches explain how to row safely. Each boat goes out on the water with their coach, rowing first in pairs and then all eight. Back at the dock, the team celebrates their victory, reflecting on their experiences and lessons learned to take back to the office.

Full-Day Program - This is an opportunity to focus as team, away from the every day routine. The team will spend the morning working as a team, learning the roles of each seat in the boat, assigning seats and carrying their 60 foot shell to the water. Our experienced coaches explain how to row safely and each boat goes out on the water with their coach, rowing first in pairs and then all eight. Back at the dock, the team celebrates their victory, reflecting on their experiences. After a lunch break, they work on a specific business issue or task and close with action plans and lessons learned to take back to the office.

Custom Events We are happy to work with you to design a custom program to specifically meet the unique needs of your team. Our facilitators have experience across many industries and the expertise to address a variety of business issues.

OARS Programs are challenging yet are appropriate for all fitness levels and athletic (or non-athletic) abilities. Each team member makes a contribution – it may be anything from pulling an oar to steering the boat or giving feedback from the coaches boat.
